Though I continually promise to finalize this blog, I always find a reason to post ONE LAST TIME!! LAST POST, REALLY!! Our cutie goes off to kindergarten.. I can't believe how fast the time went. I remember her sitting at our dinner table for the first time at 18months, pointing at the hamburger I was eating indicating she didn't want the rice and eggdrop soup we had for her... Our little Chinese American girl all grown up.

This entry shows pictures of Ami and cousins together in Florida. Although fun was had by Ami and her cousins, our trip was for sad reasons.. Unfortunately our family lost a sweet niece and cousin on Jan. 18th. (pictured here w/ Jay and below Heather in red) Our trip was to pay tribute to this young sweetheart who succumbed to medical issues that were beyond the scope of help.. We will miss her forever and hold her close in our hearts..

Although I said Gottcha Day pics were the last post, I couldn't resist posting Ami in her pretty Christmas '07 Dress...

Here she is all ready for her introduction to the Childrens version of the Nutcracker Ballet.. Though it was done beautifully and she was a captive audience for about 1/2 hr...she grew restless and was ready to, and I quote "GO HOME!" ( The general consensus from most of her preschool buddies who we were there with). Oh well at least Mommy got to dress her up!!..

As an added bonus to our trip, a family from our trip to China, (CCAI travel group 855) joined us for brunch at Disney. Kate and her Mom and Dad; Melissa and Scott joined us. It was great to see this nice family again and see how nicely Kate is growing with her forever family. Ami and Kate got to play under the sprinklers at the hotel before saying goodbye. For years I, Kathy had been trying to talk my hubby, Keith ( twenty something years) into adopting from an Asian country.. The idea kept presenting itself to our family many times over the course of our marriage when we'd meet families who adopted from China but the timing was never quite right... Until I introduced Keith to a co-worker and now good friend Christine, who had just returned with this adorable little girl from China. (CCAI travel group# 468) ... So armed with China adoption knowledge from Christine and meeting this adorable little girl Faith, (& travel tips from husband and father, Joe) Keith finally gave in to beginning our journey to Ami!!! (CCAI travel group# 855) Thank you Faith, Christine and Joe.. ;)
